We offer a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program because we believe that individual consumers should have access to the best produce. We choose to keep our CSA offerings small and to maintain personal relationships with each customer. You can explore the most common questions about our program below. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
The salad CSA includes:
- Cut Micro Mix: 10 of the farm’s most popular microgreens, never including basil or cilantro
- Gem Lettuces: several heads of lettuce that may include Oakleaf, Butter, Bibb and Romaine
- Local Heirloom Tomatoes: only when in season (December – March)
The microgreen CSA includes cut micro mix only.
- Small Share: for a single person or household of 2
- Large Share: for a household of 2-4
We invite you to visit the farm before you become a CSA member to see and taste the difference of our produce.
Our members say that the produce they receive is fresher, more flavorful and more substantial in size than what they can find at the grocery store. This is due, in part, to the fact that your produce is typically harvested within a day of you picking it up.
When you pick up your produce from the farm, you can also see how it’s grown first hand. While we are not certified organic, we adhere to sustainable, all-natural farming practices. We never employ the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers. Our produce is often of the heirloom variety and always grown from non-treated, non-GMO seed.
Paying in advance for a season gives us the operating capital to invest in growing your produce, and it helps us forecast our planting and harvest schedules.
CSA members share the bounty from the farm, and also the risk. If we have excess of a specific crop, we include extra in members’ share. If we have a major crop failure (e.g.: pests or hurricanes) members receive less.
You must come to the farm each week to pick up your share. We do not offer delivery.
You may pick up your share on Fridays any time after 10am.
Please give us a week advance notice if you are going to be out of town. We will not make a share for you that week, and the week will not count towards your 12 weeks.
No. We do not offer u-pick on our property; however, many other farms in the area do!
